Purely delicious and wonderful in every aspect! Really worth the money due to the quality and they have a wonderful grocery and produce options as well! They have cold treats!
Visited in a Sat morning. It wasn’t too busy and service was pretty quick. Ordered 4 carne asada tacos which were really good. Also ordered Menudo and it was exceptional. To round it out I bought two slices of their cheesecake which was really good as was the two doz. corn tortillas I ordered to take home. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back and try their burritos.
Came in for lunch as I've been eyeing it every time I drive by during a bk new build. Friend got 8 carne asada tacos I got 4 tacos de lengua (cow tongue tacos) And a pork tamale. Delicious food and fast service. They also have a meat market
I love love LOVE that although they have very authentic fare here, they also have stuff that is somewhat americanized with the cheese and sour cream. So YUM! Everyone here is very friendly and service was so quick. I can definitely see why all my friends say this is THE best Mexican place in all of KC. Watch out for the green sauce that they give you with your food though, very hot but also so delicious
It's all about the tacos. Simple. Delicious. Affordable. Four street tacos for 7. Your choice of meat. Cilantro and onions to go on it. Nothing was overly marinated or sauced. Nothing dropped all over the place. My family tried the enchiladas (too much sauce), flautas (mostly tortilla, little meat), and torta (so many things on it). This is, at its heart, a street taco joint in a market. If you think of it that way and swing in for lunch or an early dinner, you will not be disappointed.
I can only review the food as a coworker bought the food for me. I’m from California, raised my entire life by the southern border, and holy moly, the Al Pastor taco took me back home. The meat was delicious, tender, very savory and a bit charred as al pastor should be. The salsa was good, the onion and cilantro topping gave it that nice crunch too, and the amount of meat in the taco, they’re not stingy. 10/10 taco right there. Already made plans with my husband to go here and try other items and of course grab more of their pastor tacos. I’ll make sure to come back and leave another review based off whatever else I try.
Ordering was a little confusing, but it was simply because I wasn’t familiar with the flow. This is a restaurant and grocery/meat shop, so it’s busy and had a steady flow of customers. Prices were extremely reasonable, parking was great and there’s plenty of seating. You fell right at home if you enjoy Mexican music! I recommend the chicken quesadilla, they’re tasty.
We love this place every time we come into town! My brother lives like a mile away. We eat in and buy groceries for Chiefs tailgating too! Very authentic food.
